Legal Redress Committee - Jerome Pace, Chairman

The Legal Redress Committee is responsible for investigating all reported incidents submitted to the Branch. The committee is comprised of devoted volunteers who carefully evaluate each complaint for evidence of racial, employment, education and housing discrimination.

The committee does not offer legal advice or legal representation. Instead, the committee serves as a liaison between individuals needing help and organizations offering quality legal services in the community. If you need immediate legal assistance, please contact a local attorney.

Civil complaints may be submitted to the team by submitting your documentation to naacp6042@gmail.com. Forms are located on our website, dcnaacp6042.org/resource

“Anger should be especially kept down in punishing, because he who comes to punishment in wrath will never hold that middle course which lies between the too much and the too little. It is also true that it would be desirable that they who hold the office of Judges should be like the laws, which approach punishment not in a spirit of anger but in one of equity.”
